Music / Arts Education 'Special Note'

The arts are seen as inclusive and democratic because each child can discover his or her own avenue of learning, expression, and discovery. Music lessons have shown to improve a child's performance in school, and students with coursework/experience in music performance scored 51 points higher on the verbal portion on the SAT and 39 points higher on the math portion of the SAT than students with no coursework or experience in the arts.
